Underwater Session FAQ

(For the wild, romantic souls who believe love is better when you’re both slightly weightless and surrounded by fish)

Do we need to be great swimmers?

You need to feel comfortable in the ocean. I’ll walk (well, swim) you through everything — how to relax, move gracefully, and find your rhythm under the surface. You’ll be surprised how natural it starts to feel after a few minutes! I also send a posing guide to help you practice and prepare before getting the ocean.

Where do the underwater sessions take place?

I shoot in some of the most beautiful water on Earth — from the turquoise shallows of the Bahamas, to the Florida Keys, , to the beaches of Curaçao and beaches in Hawaii.
If you already have a location in mind, we can plan your dream dive there — or I’ll help you choose based on visibility, color, and vibe.

How deep do we go?

Most of my sessions happen in very clear water, usually 8 - 15 feet. You will be able to see the bottom. The goal isn’t depth — it’s beauty, movement, and connection. I also bring a flotation device for breaks in-between poses.

Can we book you for our honeymoon or destination trip?

YES — that’s literally my favorite thing! Whether you’re honeymooning in Hawaii, celebrating a baby-moon in the Bahamas, or escaping to Curaçao, I’ll meet you there and make your underwater adventure part of your story.

Can we combine an underwater session with a land session?

Yes! My Land + Sea sessions are perfect if you want both epic beach portraits at sunset and combine dreamy underwater photos in one amazing vacation experience. It all starts with a quick phone call with me!
