A Bahamas Babymoon Maternity Session at Junkanoo Beach

Sometimes you need a maternity session that’s a little wild. Tiffany and Michael’s Bahamas babymoon turned into an underwater adventure full of courage, connection, and the kind of memories you never forget.

They were already planning a cruise, ready to soak up the sun and enjoy some downtime before baby number two arrived. While searching for something fun to do during their stop in Nassau, Tiffany stumbled across my underwater maternity photos.

And she went for it.

They didn’t want something cookie-cutter. They wanted a session that felt intentional, adventurous, and meaningful. And it was such an honor to help them create exactly that.

Prepping for a One-of-a-Kind Session

Before we ever stepped foot on the sand, we connected on the phone. Tiffany had thoughtful questions, and I walked her through what to expect, how to prep, and how we’d approach both land and underwater shots. After the call I  sent over a few guides with outfit tips and practice poses to make sure she felt confident going in.

We had one afternoon together. From the moment they arrived, Tiffany and Michael were completely in. Prompt, easygoing, and ready to make the most of their tropical maternity session. They were open to the experience. You can see it in the photos. That trust and joy shows up in every frame.

Beach Maternity Photos They'll Treasure Forever

We met up at Junkanoo Beach, one of the dreamiest little stretches of shoreline you’ll ever see. It was the perfect setting with soft white sand, turquoise water, and sunshine that made for the perfect lighting. It was a warm day with a breeze, and the ocean felt like a soothing soak in a tub.

We started on land, keeping it relaxed and playful. Some classic bump shots with waves behind them. A few sweet moments between Tiffany and Michael.

Then they changed into their swimsuits and we waded into the ocean. We eased into it slowly. A few simple poses, some practice dives, and lots of checking in to make sure they felt comfortable. I brought my inflatable travel float so we could pause when needed. We worked hard, and it paid off!

Facing the Fear &  Doing It Anyway

Out in the ocean, Tiffany told me something that completely stopped me.
She’s afraid of deep water.

Let that sink in.

This woman booked an underwater maternity session as part of her Bahamas babymoon knowing she had a fear of the ocean,  and did it anyway. With joy. With trust, and zero hesitation.

For over 20 minutes, she moved through the water like she’d been doing it her whole life. You’d never know she was pushing past something big. You’d only see strength, softness, and the most stunning underwater maternity photos.

After a quick break on the beach (and another round of drone shots to capture that glowing shoreline), we went in one last time. One more float. One more moment of connection. And some of my favorite images of the entire session.

She got exactly what she came for: dreamy, ethereal maternity photos in the clearest tropical water. But more than that, she walked away with something even deeper. A reminder that she’s strong, brave, and fully capable of doing hard things. It’s the kind of reminder every mom deserves, especially when motherhood is both one of the toughest and most tender journeys there is.

Why It Matters

This session wasn’t just about pretty pictures. It was about celebrating this new chapter of motherhood with intention. It was about honoring the beauty and boldness that lives inside every woman - especially the ones who show up nervous and do it anyway.

Tiffany didn’t just get maternity photos. She got proof of her courage. Her joy. Her story.

And I got the honor of documenting it all.

Planning Your Own Bahamas Babymoon?

Whether you're sailing through the Caribbean or planning a tropical escape, your babymoon is the perfect chance to slow down, celebrate this version of you, and capture it all in a way that’s bold, beautiful, and completely unforgettable.

A land and sea maternity session — on the beach, in the water, under the sun — turns this fleeting moment into lasting art. You don’t need to be a pro in front of the camera. Just show up with your bump, your bravery, and your joy. I’ll guide you through the rest.
